The Fitness Universe Tour boasts magazine features in Maxim, Fitness Rx, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, and Cosmopolitan. Journalists and reporters from over 30 other health & fitness publications throughout the world attend the tour.
Representatives from MTV, The Action Film Academy, and numerous Hollywood talent and modeling agencies have used Fitness Universe events to search for new talent. Popular television shows such as NBC’s Life Moments, CBS’s Meet the Folks, and Extra, were attendees for the 2003 event season.

There are no prescribed height and/or weight limitation. No experience is necessary!
Model America Championships is for attractive women and men from around the world. Contestants must have stunning looks, an athletic body and know how to present themselves in a sexy and marketable manner for the judging panel and live & television audience. Contestants must be in good mental & physical health.
THREE ROUNDS
1. Sportswear - Active sports apparel appropriate for athletics; Theme selection welcome.
2. Swimsuit - Women in two piece style and heels; Men in one color suit (no patterns or logos) and bare feet.
3. Clubwear - Night and social lifestyle.

14-17 years of Male The judging criteria will be scored upon the following considerations:
Physical Appearance - Body shape, complexion, face, hair and smile 40%
Photogenics - Poise, posture and presentation 40%
Apparel - Coordination, fit and proportion 20%
Contestants must submit a (1) Model Application (2) sportswear photograph (3) headshot photograph and (4) $100 entry fee. Photos do not need to be professional [home snapshots or digital camera photos are acceptable].
JUDGES
The Official Judging Panel will consist of recognized and respected professionals from the talent, commercial, modeling and sports agencies business. Also, noted cosmetologists, apparel designers, entertainment executives will serve. Judges will represent the Hollywood , New York & Pittsburgh markets. To help prevent judging bias and contestant influence, a complete list of judges will not be announced before the show. There are two divisions - Female Sports Model and Male Sports Model. All contestants will be required to perform a runway style presentation in the following three Competition Rounds. Choice of apparel and shoes is at the complete discretion of the contestant.
MEDIA & PUBLICITY
Sports, fashion, commercial and modeling photographers from the US and around the world will be attending the Model America Championships. Also, highlights will be featured on ESPN International and many other television networks. Fashion, consumer, sport and other magazines will also be sending representatives. Contestant photo sessions will be selected by each media representative but cleared through Model America management so as not to conflict with event schedules and contestant obligations. All Model America contestants will be part of a poolside media session which will be included in international television, magazine and internet promotions.
