Our team competes year-round on both a national and international sport karate level.   The video footage is of Sensei Viola's Kumite Classic one of the most prestigous Sport Karate competitions in the world.

Our reputation and experience is unparalleled, producing hundreds of regional, national, and international champions. ASK was recognized as the #1 karate team in The United States of America and 3rd Worldwide by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1998. 

ASK is home to "Team Kumite" boasting the only NBL World Champions in Western PA.  Our international champions include 1997 USAKF Triple Gold Medallist Bill Viola, USA-NKF National Champion and 3x NBL World Champion Terrence Tubio, 2006/2008 NBL World Champion Alison Viola and 2007 NBL World Champion Jose Rivera.  No other school in the area has produced an NBL World Champion other than Allegheny Shotokan and Team Kumite!
